At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey J Daniel, the rider of HOLY ELEANOR, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding HOLY ELEANOR in this race, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SUPER HERO approaching the 1000M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey J Daniel’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 1 July 2024 and to expire on 7 July 2024, both dates inclusive. In lieu of two (2) Malaysian race days, he was also fined RM4000/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App M Ekdihar, the rider of HAPPY PRINCESS, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, SY Lim, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding HAPPY PRINCESS, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to TERMS OF REFERENCE (HS Gill) at approximately the 1000M mark.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App T Ammar, the rider of TOPMOST, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, S Dunderdale, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding TOPMOST in this race, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MAGNITUDE at the 700M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App T Ammar’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 1 July 2024 and to expire on 13 July 2024, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

Trainer NM Selvan appeared before the Panel regarding the racing tactics on QIJI DIAMOND. After considering the statements of Trainer NM Selvan, the Panel of Stewards was of the opinion that the aggression shown on QIJI DIAMOND today did not match the pattern of its last few runs, accordingly the Panel deemed that this was a change of racing tactics and in view of this, Trainer NM Selvan was fined RM1000/- under MRA Rule 35(8).

At the conclusion of an inquiry today, App K Pavinthran, the rider of FROM THE NAVY, in the presence of his Employing Trainer’s representative, Trainer J Leck, pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(6) in that he failed to ride his horse out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards, thereby prejudicing his chances of obtaining 2nd placing.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App K Pavinthran’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months with effect from 14 July 2024 and to expire on 13 September 2024, both dates inclusive, to be served consecutively with any other suspension. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
