RACE 2 (R1216) CLASS 5 (A) – 1100M (A SHORT COURSE)
1 FANTASTIC ECLIPSE
(R Rueven) Stopped quickly in the straight. Rider reported his horse was making respiratory noises and was short in its action. Vet inspection: No significant finding. In light of its performance, FANTASTIC ECLIPSE which finished last, will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again for having poor performance.
3 THE SAINT
(M Ewe) Raced wide in the middle stages.
7 CAORUNN
(S Salee) Rider questioned regarding why he was so far back. *(See Report).
8 ZAZU
(App S Shazmin) Threw its head on jumping, striking rider in the middle.
11 SMALL CHILLI
(App M Lukman) Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Rider dropped his whip near the 250M and fined RM250/-.

Jockey S Salee (CAORUNN) stated that although urged from the start, the gelding had been unable to maintain contact with the field and that it only made some marginal ground in the straight. He also stated that the gelding was short in its action. A post-race veterinary examination of CAORUNN revealed no significant finding. In light of its performance, CAORUNN will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again for having poor performance.

RACE 3 (R1217) CLASS 5 (A) – 1300M (A SHORT COURSE)
5 MY MONEY

6 INVISIBLE
(WK Lee) Held up for a clear run near the 200M and then taken wide. Vet inspection: Bled – Bleeder’s test (Barred 3 months)
7 GOLD SKY EXPRESS
(AK Lim) Threw its head when leading near the 800M, tending to lay outwards.
8 AYAAN
(Y Aify) Raced wide in the middle stages. Vet inspection: No significant finding. Poor performance – 1000M/vet.
10 TAIL SPIN
(App A Suriya) Slow into stride. From its outside barrier, was unable to secure a position in the field and was ridden at the rear.
When questioned, Trainer S Hamilton stated that she was of the opinion that MY MONEY
had not performed well as it had been ridden somewhat contrary to her instructions by being pushed forward as the gelding was better suited when working into the race as at its previous starts and wins. A post-race veterinary examination of MY MONEY revealed no significant finding.

RACE 4 (R1218) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200M (A SHORT COURSE)
2 SHOQEET
(M Ewe) Lost contact with the field near the 800M, finishing distance. Vet inspection: Lame off fore – Vet exam (2 weeks embargo).
8 SECRET AGENT
(R Rueven) Vet inspection: No significant finding.
10 D’GREAT SUPREME
(J Low) Hung inwards in the early stages and then raced wide until straightening.
11 STORM TO WIN
(Y Aify) Obliged to race wide throughout.
12 DELAWARE
(App A Suriya) When the start was effected, dwelt and veered outwards, missing the start by a considerable margin. In light of this, the gelding will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall test before being declared to race again.

RACE 5 (R1219) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200M (A SHORT COURSE)
Prior to declaring the “All Clear”, the Stewards viewed the patrol film related to an incident in the straight involving the first and second placed horses.
4 MERCURIAL TURN
(App WW Cheah) Squeezed at the start and subsequently was obliged to race rearward. Steadied near the 150M when laying in onto the heels of runner.
7 SUPER HAPPY
(CC Wong) Shifted in over the concluding 100M causing runner to steady. *(See Inquiry).
8 MISS MICHELLE
(App S Uzair) Jumped inwards at the start, crowding runner.
9 NINGALOO
(SU Lim) Raced extremely wide throughout from its wide stall.
10 INHERIT
(App H Haikal) Steadied when crossed near the 75M. *(See Inquiry).

The Stewards reprimanded Jockey CC Wong for shifting in over the concluding 100M, thereby taking the rightful running of INHERIT.

(Y Aify) Shifted out, inconveniencing runner near the 275M.
4 SKYDANCE ECLIPSE
(App A Nazir) Eased outwards near the 250M to avoid heels, brushing runner, then shifted in considerably between the 200M and the 100M, crowding runner. Rider was advised that he should endeavour to straighten his mount quicker.
5 AHTIMS KLIS
(AK Lim) Brushed outwards at the 275M.
6 D’GREAT TIMING
(J Low) Crowded and had to be steadied near the 125M, shying from the whip of the opponent at this stage.
8 TARGET
(App A Suriya) Proved very difficult to load. In light of the gelding’s history, Trainer was advised that the gelding must be loaded first and will be required to pass 2 Starting Stall tests before being declared to race again.

2 FLAMING PHOENIX
(CC Wong) Laid inwards over the final 100M, brushing runner.
3 GOOD FIGHT
(App Clyde Leck) Slipped at the start. Had to be steadied near the 400M behind tiring horses.

(SU Lim) Slipped on jumping, bumped outwards near the 600M.

(M Ewe) Brushed on two (2) occasions over the final 75M.

(SU Lim) Drifted out when ridden with the whip, causing his horse to check. *(See Report).

(J Low) Taken outwards and had to be restrained near the 250M and then bumped heavily with runner.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey SU Lim, the rider of ELITE WATERGHOST, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) for shifting out at this stage.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey SU Lim’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 17 October 2022 and to expire on 23 October 2022, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (6:18pm).
