Thanaraja Kasinathan or popularly known as ‘Bob’ in Malaysia racing circuit joined the Malayan Racing Association (MRA) as a Race Commentator in January 2005.

Horse Racing is not new to Bob as he practically grew up in the racecourse as both his parents were long time employees of the Selangor Turf Club. Since childhood, Bob has an affection for horses and finally found his place at the Commentator’s Box.

Bob called his first race in Perak Turf Club during a Professional Amateur Race Meeting in February 2005. The winning horse was “Superb Asset” trained by John McGillivary and ridden by Jockey Jackie Chuah.

After seven years of travelling to Perak Turf Club, Penang Turf Club and Selangor Turf Club calling races, in January 2012, Bob left MRA and joined the ranks of Selangor Turf Club and picked up a new challenge as a Stipendiary Steward.

Since August 2013, Bob has resume the portfolio of a Race Commentator and doubling up as a Stipendiary Steward.
