Selangor trainer Frank Maynard should be quietly confident heading into this year’s 3YO Mile Championship, with his in-form duo of MEGA SKYE and SUMMIT DOMINION set to contest Sunday’s RM200,000 feature.

Successful with TREES OF VALINOR in the 2025 edition, Maynard appears to have another strong hand, with both three-year-olds arriving in peak form. MEGA SKYE has developed into a smart sprinter and showcased his trademark turn of foot last time out, powering to a three-length victory against Class 4 company.

SUMMIT DOMINION produced arguably the most impressive debut performance of the year when leading throughout to score by a resounding 8.25 lengths in a 1200m Restricted Maiden three weeks ago. The UK-bred gelding faces a much sterner test this time, but shapes as though the step up to the metric mile will be well within his range.
