In-form four-year-old SMASHED AVO has continued to mature into a progressive performer and looks a genuine chance of completing a winning hat-trick in Saturday’s Class 3 contest over 1400m.

SMASHED AVO was heavily supported and duly delivered for his backers when leading throughout to win an Open Maiden over 1500m on May 24. The gelding confirmed that victory was no fluke with another all-the-way success a month later, comfortably accounting for his Class 4 rivals by 2.75 lengths over 1400m.

SMASHED AVO will again be partnered by Jose De Souza and, with a similar weight and further improvement expected, looks hard to beat.
