Veteran galloper SHEESH continues to defy his age and is arguably in career-best form as he bids for a return to the winner’s circle in Saturday’s 1500m Class 5A contest.

The nine-year-old completed a winning hat-trick prior to his most recent outing, where he suffered a minor setback when finishing second over 1775m on Track Two. The Richard Lim-trained gelding was fractious in the barriers before the start but still showed his customary speed to lead from barrier five and fought on gamely.

SHEESH will once again be partnered by three-kilogram claiming apprentice J. Ikram, who has ridden the gelding to three wins from four mounts. That successful partnership will be looking to add another victory to its impressive record this weekend.
