Selangor Turf Club is pleased to note the return of Jockey K. A’isisuhairi, who rides comfortably at 52kg, to the Malaysian racing circuit.

A’isisuhairi began his apprenticeship in New Zealand (2009), where he enjoyed a highly productive start to his career, riding 82 winners, before adding one winner in Melbourne during a short stint there. He later returned to Singapore to continue his development and quickly rose to prominence, being crowned Singapore Champion Apprentice Jockey twice (2013 & 2014) — a milestone that established him as one of the region’s most promising young riders.

He also rode with success in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he recorded 23 winners, further expanding his international exposure and experience.

Over the years, A’isisuhairi became a familiar and trusted name among leading owners and trainers, recognised for his strong work ethic, tactical race sense, and ability to maximise the performance of lightweight mounts. His consistency across seasons, coupled with his professionalism on and off the track, earned him a solid reputation within the Singapore racing community.

Following the closure of the Singapore Turf Club on 5 October 2024, A’isisuhairi took up a riding contract in Korea, where he spent a little over two years and rode an impressive 70 winners. His achievements there further strengthened his international credentials and demonstrated his adaptability across different racing environments.

In total, A’isisuhairi rode 474 winners across all jurisdictions , partnering horses across all classes and delivering notable performances in feature events.

A’isisuhairi, who hails from Kelantan, now returns home with valuable overseas experience and proven lightweight capability, offering owners and trainers an additional competitive option for upcoming race meetings.

Selangor Turf Club wishes him the best
