Talented five-year-old ANTIPODEAN will be searching for his first win of the season when he lines up in Sunday’s 1700m Metro A contest at Kuala Lumpur.

Since his disappointing effort in the G1 Tunku Gold Cup in March, ANTIPODEAN has bounced back with two encouraging performances, including a strong runner-up finish in the 1600m Listed Chairman’s Trophy a fortnight ago. The gelding settled well and finished off strongly on that occasion, suggesting he is nearing a return to peak form.

Regarded as Malaysia’s leading galloper two seasons ago, ANTIPODEAN enjoyed a stellar 2024 campaign in which he amassed nine victories during the calendar year. While he has yet to recapture that level this season, his recent efforts indicate he is steadily building back towards his best.
