Four-year-old performer AQUITAINE looks primed following two runs this preparation and appears close to breaking through in the 1300m Sungei Wang Plaza Stakes at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

He resumed from an eight-month break with an eye-catching third on his Malaysian debut on March 28 when sent out as the race favourite. The former Australian then stripped much fitter second-up and closed off well to finish runner-up over 1250m at this track a fortnight ago.
