Talented four year old GURU FIGHT is coming off his most lucrative and arguably most impressive win as he returns to home territory in the 2000m Gardens Mall Stakes at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Already boasting an imposing Malaysian record of five wins from fifteen starts, GURU FIGHT has developed into one of the country’s best stayers since debuting locally just under twelve months ago. The Simon Dunderdale trained gelding displayed his staying prowess with a fighting victory in the G1 Perak Derby three weeks ago after being posted outside the leader throughout.

GURU FIGHT carried 54.5kg to victory on that occasion and will carry a similar weight in Sunday’s contest following the 3kg claim for apprentice J Ikram, who rides the gelding for the second time.
