Pacific Vampire proves too lethal for rivals
KUALA LUMPUR: February 22, 2026

With the RM300,000 Tunku Gold Cup just a month away, Pacific Vampire appearweds to have regained his best form when he out-sprinted his rivals in the Charity On The Turf Trophy (1300m) at Sungai Besi today.
Caught near the line by Platinum Emperor over 1200m in his last start here four weeks ago, the race was over once Pacific Vampire got to the front as he likes to do.
It was the first win in six months for the Impending galloper who won four races last year to match the number he picked up at Kranji in 2024.

And just like his last victory over 1020m on the No. 2 track last August, Pacific Vampire again beat Platinum Fort to the line.
The Charity On The Turf Trophy also featured big ‘guns’ like Antipodean, Filial Dragon and Noah Khan but none of them came near to Pacific Vampire in the end.

Platinum Fort was the first to break but Pacific Vampire quickly joined him on in inside to share the lead for about 200m.
Pacific Vampire then broke away from the 800m mark to open up a five-length lead going into the straight. Platinum Fort and Filial Dragon kept each other company next, followed by Banker’s Secret, Pacific Star and Antipodean.
Platinum Fort tried but could only close the gap to 2-1/4 lengths to the line. Third was Banker’s Secret.
