The Community Horse Project (CHP), a joint initiative by Selangor Turf Club and Horse City Sdn Bhd, successfully hosted an Open Viewing Day at the Highlands Equine Retreat in Ringlet, Pahang on Monday, 26 January 2026. The event featured 33 distinguished two-year-old horses listed for the ongoing 2YO Online Sale on Inglis Digital Malaysia (inglisdigitalmalaysia.com).  ← click to view

Online bidding commenced on 26 January and will close on 30 January 2026 at 12.00noon, offering racing enthusiasts and prospective owners the chance to acquire promising young horses through Malaysia’s expanding digital sales platform.

Each horse has undergone thorough health and performance assessments, including comprehensive X-rays and pre-purchase examinations, ensuring only top-quality prospects are presented. To streamline the process, Horse City oversees all import and travel arrangements, guaranteeing a smooth transition from purchase to stable.

The event attracted over 100 participants from across the racing fraternity, including horse owners, trainers, jockeys, and industry stakeholders. Notable attendees included Mr David Chester of Magic Millions, Mr Nicky Wong of William Inglis, representatives from leading stables such as Yee Kin Kong (owner of Antipodean), Mr Shiwanand from India Horse Club Stable, Mr Seow Teik Bee (owner of Kim Emperor) and Mr Eric Koh from Equine Sanctuary, alongside representatives from the Perak Turf Club —a testament to the strong support and enthusiasm within the racing community.

The event also welcomed a distinguished gathering of new and promising owners. Among the notable attendees were Datin Melvin and Datin Aimee of the Malaysia Women Entrepreneur Chamber of Commerce, alongside key owner representatives Mr. David and Mr. Ken Yen who was representing interests in Japan.

Adding to the prestige of the occasion were Mr. Mark Francis and Mr. Cedric Yang, members of Porsche Club Malaysia.

Mr. Robert Ng of State Insurance Brokers—Malaysia’s largest local broker—was also present to personally present specialized equine insurance packages to the owners.

“Today is an historic moment for racing in Malaysia as this would be the first digital sale ever held in Malaysia, resupplying Malaysia racing with young untried horses. Owners presented with the opportunity to inspect the horse with their own eyes, horse been scoped and x-ray done, shipped to you stable upon purchase. In short, you buy your own horse in your own sale”, said Mr David Chester.

Before the event concluded, Mr Nicky Wong, International Business Development Manager at Inglis, announced an exciting buyer incentive: horses with Lot Numbers 9, 18, 19, 24, 26, 27, 30, and 33 will be eligible to compete in three special races at Selangor Turf Club, each carrying RM60,000 in prize money. This initiative adds significant value to the selected lots, offering owners attractive early racing opportunities.
