KUALA LUMPUR : Jan 22, 2026

Former Australian galloper BANKER’S TWO SIX will appreciate the class drop when he steps out over the 1600m journey in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Arriving as a fifteen-start maiden from Australia, BANKER’S TWO SIX has made rapid inroads on the local scene from only four starts. The five year old broke his maiden tag  in a 1600m Class 4 event on November 2, his second start in the country but arguably has improved further in two subsequent efforts.

BANKER’S TWO SIX came within a neck of causing a major upset in the 2000m G1 Piala Emas Sultan Selangor on December 7 for the trainer jockey combination of Johnny Lim and apprentice G Farhan. With the four kilogram claim again for Farhan, the gelding appears ideally placed back in Class 4 company this weekend.
