Former Australian galloper BANKER’S EMPRESS appears on track to break his Malaysian duck in the 1300m Sultan Abdul Samad Building Stakes at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

Arriving with an impressive overseas record of two wins from three starts, BANKER’S EMPRESS caught the eye at her local debut a fortnight ago against Class 3 opposition. The four year old mare sprinted sharply from midfield to close off with a fast finishing second behind stable mate Banker’s Princess, beaten two lengths.

This week BANKER’S EMPRESS will line up against a lower rated contingent under the handicapping conditions and with R Nuqman to retain the mount, the mare should prove hard to beat.
