The G1 Piala Emas Sultan Selangor will provide a mouth-watering contest between arguably Malaysia’s best performer LUCKY MAGIC along with rising star GOOD STAR as they prepare for battle in the final leg of the ripple Crown Series.

GOOD STAR has rapidly risen through the grades this season, is a talented sit sprinter and chalked up his first group victory last start in the 1600m G1 Coronation Cup at Ipoh on November 16. LUCKY MAGIC is the proven commodity with three Group Ones to his credit, including two over the 2000m journey and is the class performer in the RM 400,000 feature.

LATIN LEGEND has finished runner up to GOOD STAR on three occasions and is likely to reverse the result over the longer trip. Lingering doubts remain about last season’s premier galloper ANTIPODEAN handling the journey but he does possess the class and stamina to pick up another group feature.
