Singha Bay To Follow Up
07 November 2025, Kuala Lumpur
Racing takes place on Saturday the 8th of November at the Selangor Turf Club with eleven races on the program and a rather open day of racing with competitive fields and not many standout selections which could prove to add some value for the punters.
The first of two selections that should be hard to beat is Singha Bay in race 5 for the WC Lim stable after going start to finish in front in his last start to win by 1.25 lengths. He faces similar opposition in Class 4B once again and is unbeaten in two starts over course and distance. With a lack of speed from other runners in the field, he should be able to find the lead quite comfortably again without any early pressure and with the 2kgs claim of Z Syafifie, he should be hard to beat.

The best bet for the day comes in race 7 over 1020m on Track 2 as Yes Man steps out for the KC Tiang stable. He is a 5-time winner in the country from only 15 starts and if he repeats his last start by going to the front, there doesn’t seem like another horse in the field that can beat him. An interesting runner is Paletas from the SY Lim stable but has been sparingly raced since moving across from Singapore to Malaysia last year. However, from his 3 local starts he has notched up 3 wins with front running tactics. He is up in class which is a concern and I’d rather be on the fence with him and see how he shapes up in Class 3.
The first race is carded at 12:30pm local time with races 1-7 to be contested on Track 2; races 8 and 9 on the short course and the final two races on the long course. This weekend is also a mark of just one month away from the final leg of the Triple Crown Series – The Piala Emas Sultan Selangor which will take place on Sunday the 8th of December.
