Malaysian buyers made a confident statement at the 2025 Inglis Ready2Race Sale, securing 14 of the 127 horses sold for a combined AUD $736,500, underscoring the region’s growing influence in international bloodstock investment.
Leading the charge was Simon Dunderdale, representing Pinkhook Bloodstock International (FBAA) and Rowe Bloodstock, who acquired five lots totalling AUD $317,000. His purchases included progeny by emerging sires such as Portland Sky, Cool Aza Beel (NZ), and Hanseatic, reflecting a strategic eye for precocity and international appeal.
The Selangor Turf Club, continuing its commitment to developing local racing talent, secured five lots for AUD $123,500, including colts by Royal Meeting (IRE), Rubick, and Tagaloa. These acquisitions align with the Club’s vision to elevate racing standards and diversify its juvenile ranks.
Mega Captain Racing Sdn Bhd made headlines with the day’s top Malaysian purchase—Lot 62, a striking chestnut colt by Written By out of Lucient, bred by Ohukia Lodge (NZ), knocked down for AUD $200,000. This colt is expected to be a standout in upcoming juvenile campaigns.

With 14 of the 127 horses sold heading to Malaysian ownership, the sale reaffirmed the region’s active role in sourcing quality juveniles for  domestic competition.

The sale, held at Riverside Stables, featured elite 2YOs from Australia and New Zealand’s most exciting stallions. Malaysian buyers demonstrated both strategic depth and a commitment to sourcing future stars.
