The Selangor Turf Club would be staging the running of the Hygain Horse City Selangor Gold Cup, which is also the second leg of the ever popular Triple Crown Series on Sunday, 14^th September 2025.

The Triple Crown Series consists of the three Classic Group 1 races of the Selangor Turf Club. The first leg, the Equine Sanctuary Tunku Gold Cup was held on March 16, 2025. The final leg is the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor race scheduled to run on December 7, 2025.

Appropriately themed “where sprinters meet stayers”, the series is an open race for three years olds and above with rating band 71 and above, run over three varying distances of 1200 metres for the Equine Sanctuary Tunku Gold Cup, 1600 metres for the Hygain Horse City Selangor Gold Cup and finally 2000 metres for the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor. 

The Club offers a total prize money of RM1 million for the Triple Crown Series 2025, RM300,000 for Equine Santuary Tunku Gold Cup and Hygain Horse City Selangor Gold Cup and RM400,0000 for Piala Emas Sultan Selangor.

Noah Khan captured the first leg of the series, the Equine Sanctuary Tunku Gold Cup. The horse is owned by Mr Mohd Latif and trained by S Siva.
