Trainers Frank Maynard, Lawson Moy, Richard Lines and Tan Soo Beng shared the honours with a double each at the opening of the new season at Selangor Turf Club last Sunday.
Maynard was successful with back-to-back win in Race 6 with Tom King ridden by R Rueven and Race 7 with Skydance Eclipse ridden by KC Wong.
Lawson Moy saddled odds on favourite Baadshah ridden by Y Aify in Race 3 and Out of Nowwhere ridden by App. J Daniels in Race 8.
While Richard Lines two winners came in Race 4 with Lisboa Star with J De Souza aboard and in the last event of the day, D’Great Swift with KC Wong aboard which coincidentally also brought a double for the rider.
Trainers SB Tan managed to saddle Metallocene with S Ruzaini riding a determined finish to win in Race 5 and Dune Saga leading all the way giving Jockey Rueven an armchair ride to win Race 10
Trainers with a single winner are Wayne Lim with Polo Master ridden by S Ruzaini in Race 1, Mohd Sukri with Gold Mosa ridden by Aizat winning Race 2 and SY Lim with We’re The World ridden by S Mutaza to win Race 9. At the jockeys’ front, Jockey’s R RuevenKC Wong and Champion Jockey S Ruzaini took the riding honours with a double each.
Ruzaini was victorious in Race 1 with Polo Master and Metallocence in Race 5
Rueven rode Tom King to win in Race 6 and Dune Saga in Race 10.
KC Wong greeted the judges with Skydance Eclipse in Race 7 and D Great Swift in the last race.
Jockeys with single winner are AM Aizat (Gold Mosa, Race 2), Y Aify (Baadshah, Race 3), Jose De Souza (Lisboa Star, Race 4), J Daniel (Out Of Nowwhere, Race 8) and S Mutaza (We’re The World, Race 9).
Trainer Lawson Moy’s Baadshah, will progress soon to race in better company, after breaking the ice in fine fashion in Race 3.
The four-year-old by Jimmy Choux was well up with the pace and clinched the lead at the final 300m to win in a convincing manner.

The four-year-old by Remind, made the bid a bit too late to flash home second to Tom King.
Trainer SY Lim’s We’re The World is back in form and should win more races.
The four-year-old by Captain Sonador took the lead in the last 300m and drew away to win easily.
