Saturday Runners 
Trainer Frank Maynard’s Amazing Eclipse (no. 9)  should break the ice in Class 4 (B) event over 1600m on Saturday at Selangor Turf Club.
On the track this morning, the five-year-old mare by Smart Missile with a track rider astride did two rounds trot and then reeled off smartly over 600m in 36.9 seconds.
Last outing, Amazing Eclipse had every chance to win but found the winner Beautiful One a shade better to finish a very close third at this course last month.
Supreme A – 1200m (Card 1): White Chin was hard held to do pace work, looks very fit.
Class 5 (A) – 1200m (Card 6): Catapult did a canter and then strode out smartly in 39.8 seconds.

Sunday runners
Trainer AB Abdullah’s Showboy caught the eye with a dashing hit out this morning.
Taken out by a track rider, the seven-year-old by showcasing did a trot and then strode out fluently over 600m in 36.5 seconds on a tight hold.
Last outing, Showboy ran a very good third to War Dragon over 1200m last month at this course.
Stepping up from that outing, Showboy deserves a chance in the Supreme A event over 1200m on Sunday.
Combined Classes 2 & 3 -1600m (Card 2): Selangor Star (HS Gill) did a canter and then sprinted smartly in 38.4 seconds.
Class 5 (A) – 1200m (Card 7): Trinity Flying galloped keenly in 40.8 seconds.
The going was good. Workouts were done on both sand and grass track.
