Tan Eng Peow, aged 43 years old, started his career in the racing industry as a Syce on 20 June 2007 under the employment of Trainer SB Tan who was based at the Selangor Turf Club. He had also worked in similar capacity with trainers Tony Yeoh, KM Noordin, CW Robert, PS Kumaran, V Nathan and Osman Sidek.
On 19 March 2013 he was upgraded to the status of Stable Supervisor by the Malayan Racing Association and in July 2019 whilst working under Trainer M Sukri, he obtained his B-Grade Trainer licence. He continued working with trainer KP Hoy for a period of 2 years. In January 2022, he commenced working in Trainer MP Thwaites’s stable as his Assistant Trainer.
Tan has been granted the A Trainers License by MRA and he managed to secure stables for his racing operations at the Selangor Turf Club.
