Unbeaten Watch The Throne should once again rule supremacy in the Class 3 event over 1300m in Race 4 at Selangor Turf Club on Saturday. Trained by HY Cheng, the five-year-old by Pins last outing came with the usual characteristic burst of finish at the closing stages of the race to beat Hello Boss. Yet to be beaten in all four starts, Watch The Throne will be once again ridden by Jockey Jackson Low and is the best bet of the day.
Last start winner, Lim’s Sphere, looks perfectly fit for another resounding victory in the Class 4 (B) event over 1100m in Race 7. The nice looking five-year-old by Snippertson last outing broke the ice when came with a determined run at the closing stages of the race to beat Fantastic Eclipse over 1100m last month at this course. In form Jockey Jai Shankar takes the ride on Lim’s Sphere and should win again.
Trainer SY Lim’s Gloria Maris is reckoned with a chance in the Class 3 event over 1300m in Race 5. The five-year-old by Dick Turpin ran a creditable third to Shoqeet over 1600m at the last start. Jockey Calvin Goon has been elected to ride Gloria Maris and the combination holds a strong chance to greet the judges this time out.
Trainer Simon Dunderdable’s Washington should break the ice this time out in the Class 5 (A) event over 1200m in Race 9. The four-year-old by Highly Recommended finished a game second to Orion last outing over 1400m last month. Jockey Jackson Low takes the reins on Washington and should come right this time out.
