RACE 1 (R694) CLASS 5 (B) – 1250M (LONG COURSE)
TRINITY TARZAN (SU Lim) tended to lay out in the early stages, carrying TRUMPS UP (J Shankar) wide near the 1000M.
ARLO (S Ruzaini) which returned exhibiting abnormal behaviour, was impounded for analytical and veterinary examination.
A post-race veterinary examination of TRINITY TARZAN revealed that the gelding bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

RACE 2 (R695) CLASS 5 (A) – 1250M (LONG COURSE)
Acting on veterinary advice that MAIDANZ BEAUTY (App Clyde Leck) had sustained multiple lacerations to the near hind at the pre-race holding yard, the mare was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 12:25pm. MAINDANZ BEAUTY will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.
Running to the 1000M, GLENAFTON (J Low) had to be steadied off the heels of FOREVER AND EVER (AK Lim) when that horse eased when crossed by ATTENTION (S Ruzaini).
In the run to the 1000M, SAND BANK (J De Souza) threw its head when being steadied.
Near the 300M, COMMODORE LINCOLN (Y Aify) shifted out with GLENAFTON shifting outwards from it and inconvenienced THE ICEMAN (App A Suriya).
The Stewards inquired into Jockey J Low’s riding of GLENAFTON. At the conclusion of the inquiry, Jockey J Low, the rider of GLENAFTON, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. The particulars of the charge were that after taking a good jump, he failed to put any pressure onto GLENAFTON in an endeavour to have it race in a midfield position.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey J Low’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) month, to be deferred, with effect from 4 October 2021 and to expire on 3 November 2021, both dates inclusive. Acting on the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Stewards deferred the commencement of his suspension. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 3 (R696) CLASS 5 (A) – 1250M (LONG COURSE)
The Stewards granted permission for Jockey HS Gill to replace Jockey A Zaimuddin as the rider of HAPPY GHOST as the latter was unable to make the carded weight. Jockey A Zaimuddin was warned that a repetition in future, may lead to a penalty being imposed. He was also advised that an embargo of 56kgs was placed on his weight.
HAPPY GHOST (HS Gill) jumped awkwardly.
In the middle stages, SUPER LINE (Y Aify) raced wide.
In the run to the first turn, SLEEPY JOE (J Low) raced fiercely.
The saddle on D’GREAT SUPREME (S Zulfikri) slipped backwards at the 800M.

RACE 4 (R697) CLASS 5 (A) – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
HAPPY LUCKY STAR (CK Khaw) was slow to begin.
Near the 250M, the tiring SMART RACER (App Clyde Leck) rolled in causing UNION JAC (App R Nuqman) to be restrained.
The Stewards inquired into the riding of App Clyde Leck (SMART RACER) and App R Nuqman (UNION JAC) as to the reason that they had both led by a considerable margin in the early part of the race.
After taking evidence from App Clyde Leck, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, C Leck who is also the Trainer of SMART RACER, and App R Nuqman, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, BT Lim, and also Trainer SY Lim, the trainer of UNION JAC, the Stewards were satisfied that App Clyde Leck, although had been instructed to lead, was unable to restrain SMART RACER and take a sit. Further that whilst App R Nuqman had been instructed to ride UNION JAC in a midfield position, the gelding had raced too fiercely and he was reluctant to restrain it, as it had a light mouth and he feared that UNION JAC would throw its head. As such, the Stewards warned both App Clyde Leck and App R Nuqman that they must endeavour to make a greater effort to restrain their mounts and ride more diligently in future.
A post-race veterinary examination of UNION JAC revealed no significant finding.

>b>RACE 5 (R698) CLASS 4 (A) – 1300M (LONG COURSE)
SHOQEET (Y Aify) bumped BIG BANK (C Goon) at the start, causing it to lose ground.
SOUTHERN MAN (J Low) veered inwards on jumping, crowding CHINO DINERO (App M Lukman).
SOUTHERN MAN was inclined to lay inwards in the early stages and over the final 200M.
A post-race veterinary examination of BIG BUS (C Goon) revealed that it was lame off fore and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.

RACE 7 (R700) CLASS 1 – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
TARGET (App N Varmah) was slow into stride.
In the early and middle stages, D’GREAT TIMING (J De Souza) and ELITE QUARTETO (App A Suriya) raced wide.
