RACE 1 (R0685) CLASS 5(A) – 1200m (lc) ADAGIO HANDICAP
STORM TO WIN and SUPER HERO, both are course scratching. STORM TO WIN had sustained sole bruised near fore whilst SUPER HERO had sustained bruised near fore fetlock. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Acting on veterinary advice that FIRE AWAY (S Ruzaini) was lame near fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1.11pm and the gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
BAKUTEH (S Hafis) was slow into stride.
Near the 250M-mark, GEORGETOWN (R Rueven) had a tendency to shift in from the whip.
Jockey A Suriya, the rider of ELITE SAINT reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of ELITE SAINT revealed that the gelding had returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of GOLDEN CUP (Y Aify) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 2 (R0686) CLASS 5 (B) – 1200m (lc) GLENGETTIE HANDICAP
WINNING SMILE, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised both fore fetlocks, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
App N Shahronnizam was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 44(2) for failing to arrive on-course at least one hour prior to his ride on SUPER WHIRLWIND in this race.
CHERISH (R Rueven) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.
USA CAPTAIN (AM Aizat) was slow to begin.
The Panel of Stewards opened an inquiry into the running and handling of USA CAPTAIN today. Evidence were taken from Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of USA CAPTAIN and Trainer K Coetzee, the trainer of USA CAPTAIN. After reviewing all angles of the race and taking all evidence into consideration, Jockey AM Aizat was charged for a contravention of MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. The inquiry was adjourned to a later date to enable Jockey AM Aizat to produce his witness.
At approximately the 700M-mark, AUSSIE EAGLE (S Ruzaini) ran up to the heels of ASIAN JET (A Suriya) which had to be steadied.
CHERISH was shifting in away from the whip in the home straight.
A post-race veterinary examination of PURPLE RAIN (S Saddam) revealed that the gelding had returned lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of USA CAPTAIN revealed no obvious abnormality.
Trainer P Lee was questioned with regards to the improved performance of THAI BAHT today. The only explanation that he could offer is that in his opinion, the good track today suited THAI BAHT and his attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding in-and-out running.

RACE 3 (R0687) CLASS 4(A) – 1200m (lc) ROOIBOS HANDICAP
MOONGATE LIGHT, BALIN and DOCTOR GINGER, all are course scratching. MOONGATE LIGHT had sustained respiratory allergy. BALIN had sustained sole bruised off fore whilst DOCTOR GINGER had sustained sole bruised near fore. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
STAR LEGEND (Y Aify) which could not be boxed, was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 2.23pm. The gelding will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
LUPIN (HS Gill) over-raced in the early and middle stages.
Upon straightening, STAR GLORY (App P Haris) shifted out from the whip, carrying CAVANA (KC Low) wide. App P Haris was shown the video of this incident in the presence of his master, trainer K Coetzee and he is expected to stop using his whip in the left hand and straighten his mount, failing which action may be taken in future.
BORN TO WIN (AK Lim) was hanging out throughout.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that MR G (AM Aizat) returned having cast its off hind plate.

RACE 4 (R0688) ENRICH STAKES A - 1200m (lc) HIBISCUS STAKES
VINCENT’S STAR, a course scratching as it had sustained respiratory allergy, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
TEOCHEW KID (S Ruzaini) jumped awkwardly inwards, resulting in slight cramping to AHTIMS KLIS (App Z Syafifie) shortly after the start.
At approximately 900M-mark, LEONG MA BISCUIT (AK Lim) rolled inwards, in anticipation of the short course turn.
Jockey Y Aify, the rider of SILENT BOSS reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SILENT BOSS revealed no obvious abnormality.
Trainer P Lee was questioned with regards to the improved performance of TEOCHEW KID today. The only explanation that he could offer is that this horse was only having its 2nd run for him after a long spell.

RACE 5 (R0689) CLASS 4(A) - 1600m (lc) TETLEY HANDICAP
RAGNAR (S Ruzaini) jumped awkwardly.
At approximately the 700M-mark, RAGNAR was momentarily crowded and had to be steadied when PEER GYNT (App P Haris) rolled inwards.
A post-race veterinary examination of RAGNAR revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 7 (R0691) CLASS 5 (B) – 1400m (sc) SOCIETY HANDICAP
DIAMOND PEGASUS (S Ruzaini) was slow into stride.
COUNTRY LAW (R Rueven) was obliged to race wide rounding the bend.
NOVA PHOENIX (HK Cheng) had a tendency to shift in from the whip in the straight.
Jockey AK Lim, the rider of SUPER ATAS reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SUPER ATAS revealed no obvious abnormality.
As Trainer R Lines was not present at this meeting today, he would be questioned with regards to the improved performance of TRAFALGAR (AM Aizat).

RACE 8 (R0692) RESTRICTED MAIDEN – 1000m (sc)(WFA) RISHI STAKES
DEFEATER, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised over reached off fore heel, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
WE CAN DO IT (S Hafis) which was difficult to be boxed, delaying the start, was loaded riderless and will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
MIRACLE STAR (S Ruzaini) had a tendency to lay in in the straight.

RACE 9 (R0693) CLASS 5 (A) – 1000m (sc) DANDELION HANDICAP
CITY KNIGHT is a course scratching as it had injured its near fore bulb and will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Acting on veterinary advice that INTROIT (AM Aizat) was lame near fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 5.13pm and the gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
YES BOSSY (S Saddam) which could not be boxed, was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 5.22pm. YES BOSSY will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
TAIWAN CAPTAIN (App N Shahronnizam) was slow into stride.
KNIGHT LOVE (HS Gill) was obliged to race wide on the turn, entering the home straight wide.
GOLD SKY EXPRESS (AK Lim) was hanging out in the later stages.
