RACE 2 (R405) CLASS 5 (B) – 1600m (lc) EUROPA HANDICAP
NAPOLEON (CK Khaw) showed no early pace, despite being urged.
Jockey M Ewe, the rider of D’GREAT SWIFT reported that his mount was making abnormal respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of D’GREAT SWIFT revealed no obvious abnormality.
Jockey AK Lim, the rider of POWER EXPRESS reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of POWER EXPRESS revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of NAPOLEON revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R406) CLASS 4 (A) – 1300m (lc) AREIL HANDICAP
Trainer HY Cheng was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on NOVA FALCON (App S Sia).
EXDREAM (App KH Chong) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
MANDRAKE (HS Gill) and SHANGHAI CAPTAIN (KP Lim) were slow into stride.
Passing the 900M-mark, EXDREAM and MR G (S Anandan) brushed.
Passing the 450M-mark, SILENT BOSS (HK Cheng) ducked in sharply when struck with the whip and thereafter, continued to lay in under the whip. Jockey HK Cheng had to switch his whip to the left at about the 150M-mark to keep his mount on a straight course.
App S Sia, the rider of NOVA FALCON reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of NOVA FALCON revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of SILENT BOSS (HK Cheng) revealed that the gelding returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 4 (R407) CLASS 4 (B) - 1300m (lc) CALLISTO HANDICAP
Shortly after the start, RS DIAGO (Y Aify) had to steady when QUASAR (AK Lim) jumped awkwardly inwards and NICATOR (CK Khaw) jumped awkwardly outwards.
DISCRETELY RED (HS Gill) raced keen in the early and middle stages.
RS DIAGO was trapped wide rounding the turn and raced tight with NICATOR.
Passing the 700M-mark, FAST AND SUPER (App R Nuqman) threw its head up when being steadied.
An inquiry into the running and handling of TAUBOSS (SS Vanan) will be held at a date to be fixed.
Post-race veterinary examinations of NICATOR and TAUBOSS revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 5 (R408) CLASS 5 (A) – 1100m (sc) CHARON HANDICAP
The Panel of Stewards permitted App R Nuqman to replace App R Ruwaidy as the rider of JAPAN CAPTAIN when the latter was certified unwell.
BLUE EYED BOY (S Saddam) and JULIUS CAESAR (R Rueven) were examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.
Shortly after the start, SIEW YUK (S Anandan) had to steady when COLOUR PAINT (HS Gill) jumped awkwardly inwards and GOLDEN ROOSTER (CK Khaw) jumped awkwardly outwards.
BLUE EYED BOY showed no pace despite being urged.
GOLDEN ROOSTER entered the straight wide and continued to lay out, finishing the race wide.
Post-race veterinary examinations of GOLDEN ROOSTER and COUNTRY LAW (App Z Syafifie) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that COLOUR PAINT had bled and as such, the gelding will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

RACE 6 (R409) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100m (sc) DIONE HANDICAP
LOYALTY’S ANGEL, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore suspensory, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again
Acting on veterinary advice that KING POWER (R Rueven) was lame off hind, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 3.50pm. KING POWER will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
YES BOSSY (HS Gill) which was restless in the stall, got its leg entangled in the barrier, was taken out for a veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Thereafter, YES BOSSY was difficult and was unable to be re-boxed. The Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 4.25pm and as such, will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
LUKE MAN (App S Sia) jumped awkwardly and thereafter, raced keenly and was difficult to settle in the early and middle stages.
SUNTZU (AK Lim) had to steady over the final 50M-mark when tightened for room between LUKE MAN and YOU ARE SPECIAL (S Anandan).
Post-race veterinary examinations of LUKE MAN, SUNTZU and RANT AND RAVE (App Z Syafifie) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 7 (R410) OPEN NOVICE [SET-WEIGHTS] - 1200m(sc) IAPETUS STAKES [NOT MORE THAN 7yo]
VICTOREM, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
YOUARETHEBEST (SS Vanan) was difficult to be boxed, resulting in Jockey SS Vanan sustaining an injury to his right foot when he struck the gate whilst being loaded. The Club Medical Officer certified that Jockey SS Vanan was unable to ride and as such, the Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of YOUARETHEBEST at 4.52pm. The gelding will be required to pass one(1) starting stall test before being declared to race again. Jockey SS Vanan was sent to hospital for further observations.
LAGI BOLEH (S Anandan) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of GALAXY LAW (S Saddam) revealed no obvious abnormality.
