RACE 1 (R461) CLASS 5(B) – 1600m(lc) KEITT HANDICAP
At about the 800M, DESTINY KNIGHT (App CC Foo) had to be steadied and shifted out across the heels of GLORY AGE (HK Cheng) when over-racing.
NO NONSENSE (M Hanif) was disappointed for a clear run at the 300M, shifted out across the heels of GLORY AGE and DESTINY KNIGHT and finished wider on the track.
Jockey S Anandan, the rider of FORTUNE SPIRIT reported that his mount was not striding out freely.
Post-race veterinary examinations of FORTUNE SPIRIT, JEFFREY (Z Khairil), GRAND SHOW (F Yap) and D’GREAT EASY (J Low) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that LUCK DRAGON (M Yusri) returned having cast its near hind plate.

RACE 2 (R462) CLASS 5(A) – 1600m(lc) IVORY HANDICAP
KING WIN and AMI ELEVEN, both course scratching as they had sustained bruised near fore sole and lacerations near hind respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
TONGARIRO (J Low) had cast its off fore plate behind the barriers and had to be re-shod. The gelding was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
SUCCESSION (HS Gill) steadied and shifted out across the heels of COLORADO PRINCE (Z Khairil) at the 800M due to the lack of pace.
TOP TURF (App S Saddam) laid in away from the whip at the 300M.
A post-race veterinary examination of GOLD COAST CAPTAIN (HK Cheng) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Panel of Stewards questioned Trainer C Robert, the trainer of TONGARIRO into the improved performance of the gelding today. He stated that TONGARIRO had trialed well, is suited by a smaller field today and he expected an improved performance. His attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding ‘in-and-out’ running.

RACE 3 (R463) CLASS 5(A) – 1400m(lc) HIMSAGAR HANDICAP
AIR POWER, ANAK WARRIOR and DETERMINE TO WIN, all course scratching as they had colic, sustained a bruised off fore fetlock and a bruised near fore fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
GORDON G (J Low) was slow into stride and thereafter, raced ungenerously between the 900M to the 800M and lost ground.
SUPREME SUPREME (S Anandan) raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
I AM MIDAS (App R Lingarajan) had to be steadied at the 400M and lost some ground when EMPIRE BAY (J Chuah) rolled in.
SUPREME SUPREME which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of SUPREME SUPREME, POWER EXPRESS (HS Gill) and ELITE GUSTAVO (M Hanif) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 4 (R464) CLASS 4 (B) - 1400m(lc) HATCHER HANDICAP
ANGHIARI which was down 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
NANA (Z Khairil) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.
HUSSONATOR (J De Souza) jumped away awkwardly and lost ground and shortly after the start, veered in.
CATCH ME GREAT (J Low) had to be steadied 50 metres after the start to avoid the heels of KEEN DRAGON (App S Saddam).
HELLO SAYANG (App J Daniel) had to be steadied at the 600M when IKING (SS Vanan) rolled in.
At about the 200M, KEEN DRAGON raced onto the heels of FOLLOW THE WIND (HK Cheng), stumbled and severely unbalancing its rider, almost dislodging him and as such, he was unable to ride out in his normal manner.
The whip of Jockey J De Souza (HUSSONATOR) was accidentally struck off by Jockey SS Vanan, the rider of IKING at about the 50M.
BRILLIANT DEAL (App L De Souza) laid out over the final 50M, taking LUMINIFF LAD (App S Hafis) wider on the track.
Jockey KC Wong, the rider of SUPER GENIUS reported that his mount was not striding out freely.
Post-race veterinary examinations of HUSSONATOR, IKING and SUPER GENIUS revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 5 (R465) CLASS 4(B) – 1400M (lc) HADEN HANDICAP
PURPLE RAIN LADY, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
SECOND CHANCE (KC Wong) which stood when the gates were released and lost considerable ground, will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.
HALO INSPIRE (HS Gill) was slow into stride and showed no early speed, despite being urged.
ROBBEN (HK Cheng) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of MORE THAN FAST (CK Tan) racing to the 900M.
SMOOTHLY (Y Aify) raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of HAPPY SIXTYSIX reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of HAPPY SIXTYSIX revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of HALO INSPIRE, SECOND CHANCE, BERCHAM (App S Hafis) and SMOOTHLY revealed no obvious abnormality and BRAHMS AND LISZT (J De Souza) returned lame off fore. As such, BRAHMS AND LISZT will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 6 (R466) CLASS 4 (A) – 1400m (sc) GLENN HANDICAP
Trainer W Lim was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to present THE JEUNEYMAN to the holding yard within the stipulated time.
PENDRAGON PRINCESS was difficult to settle in the first 50 metres until App S Saddam let the mare stride out and lead.
Post-race veterinary examinations of THE JEUNEYMAN (Y Aify), BRISTOL DIAMOND (HS Gill) and LUCKY COIN (App S Hafis) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 7 (R467) ENRICH STAKES A (SW) – 1400m (sc) DASHERI STAKES
L’APPRENTI SORCIER, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore heel and frog, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
D’GREAT RICH (J Low) was difficult to settle in the early stages of the race.
GREAT SCOTT (App J Daniel) had to be checked to avoid the heels of WORLD HARMONY (J De Souza) at the 1200M.
Post-race veterinary examinations of GREAT SCOTT and D’GREAT RICH (J Low) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 9 (R469) ENRICH STAKES A [SW] – 1000m (sc) CUSHMAN STAKES
XZUBERANCE, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
FLYING DARCI which was down 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
NOBODY’S FOOL (App J Daniel) which was difficult and unable to be loaded, was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 5.04pm. The gelding will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.
SILVER WIND (CK Tan) jumped away awkwardly.
ANONYMOUS (S Salee) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
The Panel of Stewards inquired into an incident at the 900M when MACARTHUR (App S Saddam) and CROWN STAR (J Low) had to be checked, resulting in TITANIUM (App WW Cheah) also being checked and shifted out, causing interference to WHITE CHIN (Y Aify) and RELAU STAR (Z Khairil). In this incident, Jockey J Low, the rider of CROWN STAR lost the use of his irons for some distance and was severely inconvenienced. After taking evidence from Jockey HS Gill, the rider of GRAND CROSS, the inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
Post-race veterinary examinations of RELAU STAR, TAFFETAS (J De Souza) and CROWN STAR (J Low) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 10 (R470) CLASS 4(A) – 1000m (sc) EARLYGOLD HANDICAP
RAJA MAHKOTA which was down 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
PACHELBEL’S CANON (Z Khairil) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.
BELT AND ROAD (App S Hafis) was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 5.39pm when the buckle on its bridle was broken and was unable to be replaced.
PACHELBEL’S CANON jumped away awkwardly.
STAR CHOICE (App S Saddam) which was leaning on the outside of its gate when the gates were released, jumped away awkwardly.
Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by App WW Cheah, the rider of RAJA MAHKOTA placed 2nd against MULTIBLUE RANCHO (App I Firdzriel), being declared the winner on grounds of alleged interference at approximately the 300M.
After considering all the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had not affected the result of the race. The objection was overruled and the results stood.
Racing to the 300M, MULTIBLUE RANCHO laid in and as a result, RAJA MAHKOTA (App WW Cheah) had to be steadied. App I Firdzriel, the rider of MULTIBLUE RANCHO was shown the video of the incident in the presence of his master Trainer S Cook and was advised to exercise greater care in future.
Post-race veterinary examinations of PACHELBEL’S CANON revealed no obvious abnormality and BIG CITY (F Yap) had bled. As this is BIG CITY’s second bleeding attack and as such, BIG CITY will be barred from racing for a period of six (6) months under MRA Rule 92(5)(a)(b)&(c) and thereafter, passed a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
