(App M Lukman) Slow into stride. Rider reported that he had called out on several occasions prior to the start as he believed the mare was sitting back. The Stewards ascertained from the Starter that there was no action by the mare which influenced his decision to effect the start, as such it will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall test before being declared to race again.
10 STRONG N BRAVE
(App WW Cheah) Steadied outwards from heels near the 750M and was then taken wide.
The “State of Track” was downgraded to “Yielding” after the running of this race.

1 GLOBAL ARMY

3 LUCKY TIGER
(App H Haikal) Rider reported that the horse dipped at the 800M.
8 ALL WHITE
(App A Suriya) Saddle slipped backwards on jumping. Rider reported that the horse became unbalanced near the 400M. Blocked for a clear run over the final 100M.
9 MIDNIGHT LOVER
(HS Gill) Raced wide throughout. Vet inspection: Lame off fore – 1000M/Vet (3 weeks embargo)
When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of GLOBAL ARMY, Mr Nagarajan a/l Supromaniam, Trainer MP Thwaites’ representative, advised that the horse had stumbled at its previous start and although he had instructed that it be ridden in a forward position, it was unable to do so. He was of the opinion that GLOBAL ARMY had got a soft lead although he had instructed the mare to be ridden close to the pace from its outside barrier and was further advantaged by a drop-in-class and again when claiming 3kgs.

(App R Nuqman) Slow into stride and was crowded shortly after the start.
3 BERLINETTA
(App S Shazmin) Over-raced in the early stages. Raced wide in the middle stages. Rider reported that the horse slipped at the 750M.
4 ARTEMISIA OF CARIA
(App I Fikri) Saddle slipped backwards at about the 450M.
5 PRESTO
(App S Sia) Raced erratically in the straight, shifting ground and laid inwards over the final 100M.

RACE 5 (R333) Class 4b – 1200M (E sc)

2 FIRST LIGHT
(CK Khaw) When the start was effected, the gelding threw its head and reared awkwardly, dislodging its rider and galloped riderless. Vet inspection: Fractured right hind tibia – euthanized.
3 PROPLAYER
(App M Lukman) Reared when start was effect, thereby losing considerable ground. 1 Starting Stall test.
5 DOCTOR GINGER
(HS Gill) Fined RM500/- under MRA Rule 41(6)(b) for excessive use of the whip.
6 NORTHERN STAR
(KC Tham) When questioned, rider explained that the gelding was slow to begin, it had no early pace despite being urged and was affected by the “State of Track”.

RACE 6 (R334) Class 4a – 1200M (E sc)
Due to regional rescheduling, this race was rescheduled to start at 3:55pm.

(M Ewe) Slow into stride and raced fiercely when obliged to race wide between the 800M and the 500M.
7 GLENAFTON
(V Espindola) Raced wide throughout.

RACE 7 (R335) Class 5a – 1250M (E sc)

(J Low) Raced fiercely in the early stages with its mouth open, tending to hang out from the 750M. Raced extremely erratically in the straight. 1000M/Vet.

(App A Najib) Inclined to dip when racing at the rear of the field between the 750M and the 500M.

The Stewards will examine the CCTV footage of the weighing out process to ascertain if the rider of FLYING BABY weighed out with all his equipment.

RACE 9 (R337) Class 5b – 1100M (E sc)

(S Salee) Rider reported that his horse was not striding out freely in the going.

(App S Sia) Slow into stride. Rider advised that the gelding showed no early pace. Inclined to lay inwards in the straight.

(App A Suriya) Slow into stride and subsequently ridden rearward, then drifted wide in the straight.
8 WASHINGTON
(App S Shazmin) Slow into stride. Rider reported that the gelding stumbled on several occasions mid-race.
10 WINTERFELL
(L De Souza) Rider reported that the gelding did not handle the going.
11 MACHUNG STAR
(App KH Chong) Drifted in passing the 325M and then had to be restrained to avoid heels near the 75M.
