Acting on a request from Trainer Evert van Breukelen, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey R Rueven to replace Jockey M Yusri as the rider of MASTER JIANGMEN.
FIRE AWAY (App R Nuqman) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

RACE 2 (R029) CLASS 5 (B) – 1600m (lc) LUCKY START HANDICAP
SECOND CHANCE (KC Tham) was slow into stride.
SHYLOCK (HS Gill) over-raced in the early and middle stages.
Jockey R Rueven, the rider of CHERISH reported that his mount was not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of CHERISH and MAGICAL PARK (App R Nuqman) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Panel of Stewards questioned Jockey KC Tham with regards to his ride on SECOND CHANCE today. After hearing his explanations, the Panel of Stewards were not entirely satisfied and warned him that in future, he must ride all his mounts in a manner so as to leave no room for query.

READY TO GOOD LUCK, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
REY ELVIS which was down 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start
The Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of REY ELVIS (R Rueven) at 3.19pm, when it could not be boxed and will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
The Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of YOUARETHEBEST (KC Tham) at 3.21pm, as it was difficult to proceed to the start and was unable to be loaded, as such, and will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test [to be ridden unaided to the start] before being declared to race again.
