(App KH Chong) Shifted out marginally near the 1100M and then attempted to jump the crossing near the 1025M.

(KC Tham) Proved difficult to load - 1 Starting Stall test. Veered inwards near the 1175M, inconveniencing runner.

(App Clyde Leck) Jumped awkwardly, threw its head, unbalancing rider, subsequently losing ground.

8 WHAT A BOSS
(App S Shazmin) When the start was effected, reared in the stalls, striking its head on the cross-bar, losing considerable ground. 1 Starting Stall test. Vet inspection: Sustained a head injury – Vet exam (2 weeks embargo)
10 RAINBOW FISH
(WK Lee) After being loaded, the gelding refused to stand square, leaning on the partition. Subsequently, the gelding was unloaded from its stall, reloaded and the start was effected. This necessitated a delay. 1 Starting Stall test.

(SU Lim) Withdrawn at 1:38pm: Lame near fore – Vet exam (2 weeks embargo)

(AK Lim) Brushed on jumping. Vet inspection: Respiratory distress (Grade 4) – 1000M/vet (1 month embargo)

(AK Lim) Vet inspection: Bled – Bleeder’s test (Barred 3 months)
3 KUBERA’S CHIEF
(App R Nuqman) Dipped from the heels of BACH’S AIR when crowded near the 825M and had to be restrained. Rider explained that the gelding had a very light mouth and although brushed slightly from the outside, was inclined to over-race at this stage.
4 ZAZU
(App I Fikri) Jumped awkwardly and after the second stride, rider became unbalanced with the horse losing ground.
6 BOOM ALMIGHTY
(App KH Chong) Threw its head at the start and lost ground, then raced wide in the middle stages.
10 GOOD WARRIOR
(SU Lim) Shifted in near the 825M, crowding runner. Vet exam: No significant finding.
App S Shazmin who rode his 10th winner on LEO in this race, would only be entitled to claim 3kgs allowance as from Monday, 26 September 2022.

RACE 5 (R1137) OPEN MAIDEN – 1175M (II)
2 XIYOU
(App S Sia) Threw its head in the air on jumping and then bounded, losing ground. The gelding then trailed the field. In light of the start and performance, the gelding will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test.
3 FORTUNATE SIXTYONE
(App K Pavinthran) Rider questioned regarding his whip use in the straight. *(See Report)

(R Rueven) Laid inwards near the 300M.
9 PRINCE SIXTY NINE
(App A Suriya) Withdrawn at 2:41pm: Lame off fore – Vet exam (2 weeks embargo)
10 REBORN GENERAL
(App S Uzair) Inclined to lay inwards and shifted in between the 300M and the 100M. Near the 50M, had to be straightened when crowding runner on its inside.
App K Pavinthran, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, C Leck, stated that this was his normal fashion. The Stewards were conscious of the fact that the gelding had been passed in the straight by several runners, however, advised App K Pavinthran that he would be expected to show a significant improvement of vigour so as to leave no question as to the true purpose.

RACE 6 (R1138) CLASS 4 (B) – 1175M (II)
3 RAKAMA
(AK Lim) Dwelt at the start, losing considerable ground. In light of the mare’s history, it will be required to pass 2 Starting Stall tests.
5 HARVEYWALLBANGER
(App S Sia) Had to be steadied when crowded slightly near the 1100M
6 CHIEF OF ARMY
(App H Arif) Laid inwards at the start, crowding runner. Raced erratically in the straight.
8 SHAHBAA
(MM Firdaus) Slow into stride. Laid outwards shortly after straightening and then was tightened between runner near the 200M.

(S Salee) Laid inwards from the 275M.

(SU Lim) Crowded from the outside at the start.

RACE 8 (R1140) CLASS 3 – 1175M (II)
This race was rescheduled to start at 4:25pm.
An objection was lodged by Jockey R Rueven (RESOLUTE), placed second, against ALLIANCE CAPTAIN (AK Lim) being declared the winner, alleging interference over the final 200M. The Panel of Stewards overruled the objection.

(App S Shazmin) Returned cast off hind plate & with bumper injury on both hind legs – Vet exam.
7 ALLIANCE CAPTAIN
(AK Lim) Commenced to lay in over the final 200M, carrying RESOLUTE inwards and bumped that gelding on two (2) occasions.
9 ESTIJAAB
(B Pinheiro) Laid inwards quickly at the 175M.
10 RESOLUTE
(R Rueven) Bumped near the 175M and then carried inwards over the final 150M.
12 META HILTON
(MM Firdaus) Crowded shortly after the start, losing ground. Raced wide in the middle stages.
At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey AK Lim, the rider of ALLIANCE CAPTAIN, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he commenced to lay in over the final 200M, carrying RESOLUTE inwards and bumped that gelding on two (2) occasions.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey AK Lim’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days, to be deferred, with effect from 3 October 2022 and to expire on 9 October 2022, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

This race was rescheduled to start at 5pm.
