RACE 1 (R1125) CLASS 5(B) – 1400M
ANOTHER SHOW, a course scratching as it was sore near fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
App Z Ahmad was fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 107(10) for failing to make the carded weight on PARISBAS. The Stewards permitted App SN Shiva to replace App Z Ahmad as the rider of PARISBAS.
Jockey SU Lim was stood down by order of the Stewards on all his rides today. The Stewards permitted App A Azizi to replace Jockey SU Lim as the rider of QIJI LOVE as there was no suitable jockey available.
JEFFREY (KC Tham) jumped awkwardly.
Passing the 1000M-mark, JEFFREY was inconvenienced and had to steady when MERRY BELL (SS Vanan) rolled inwards. Jockey SS Vanan was shown the video of this incident and was advised to exercise more care in future.
Shortly before the finishing line, QIJI LOVE rolled inwards.
Jockeys AM Aizat and SS Vanan, the rider of INTROIT and MERRY BELL respectively, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of INTROIT and MERRY BELL revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R1127) CLASS 5(A) – 1400M
INVICTUS WARRIOR, a course scratching as it had sustained a swollen near fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
The Stewards permitted App R Nuqman to replace Jockey SU Lim as the rider of FIRE AWAY as there was no suitable jockey available.
SUNNY STAR (K Eirwan) was slow into stride.
IAMBUTTER (AK Lim) and BROADWAY SUCCESS (S Salee) raced tight and brushed on a number of occasions in the last 300M.
Jockey CC Foo, the rider of STAR EFFECT, was shown the video of his ride and was warned against the practice of using his whip with excessive force when the gelding was clearly out of contention.
App Clyde Leck, the rider of STAY SOUND, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of STAY SOUND revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of STAR EFFECT revealed that the gelding returned having cast its off fore and off hind plates.
STAR EFFECT and STAY SOUND which both raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of SUNNY STAR and BROADWAY SUCCESS revealed no obvious abnormality. FIRE WAY returned having cast its near fore plate.

RACE 4 (R1128) CLASS 5(A) – 1400M
GURNEY DRIVE, a course scratching as it had respiratory tract infection, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
DREAMS CAN BE REAL (M Yusri) stood and was slow to begin.
Jockey CC Foo, the rider of ALPHA MOLTRES, was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping his whip at about the 200M-mark.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that MACEO (App A Azizi) returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and having cast its near hind plate. MACEO will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of TWILL GUY (F Yap) revealed no obvious abnormality.
At the conclusion of an Inquiry, after taking evidence from Trainer B Ng and Jockey F Yap, and reviewing the films, Jockey F Yap was found guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 44(8) as read with MRA Rule 44(8)(a) in that whilst riding TWILL GUY, he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures throughout the race to ensure that TWILL GUY was given full opportunity of winning or of obtaining the best possible placing.
The particulars of the charge were that:-
(1) having had a good jump from barrier 10 at the 1400M-mark, he took hold of his mount at approximately the 1200M-mark until the 400M-mark, restraining it;
(2) he raced unnecessarily wide on the turn; and
(3) from the 400M-mark to the finish, he again continually restrained his mount.
When deciding on the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration the facts of this case, Jockey F Yap’s riding record and his points of mitigation. After considering the provisions of MRA Rule 44(8)(a), Jockey F Yap was disqualified from riding in races for a period of eighteen (18) months with effect from Sunday, 25th September 2022 and to expire on Sunday, 24th March 2024, both days inclusive. In addition, he was fined a sum of RM 30,000/- (Malaysian Ringgit Thirty Thousand). He was advised of his Right of Appeal (6.50pm).
Trainer B Ng was found guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he condoned the ride of Jockey F Yap on TWILL GUY when the ride was clearly contentious. Trainer B Ng was fined a sum of RM10,000/- (Malaysian Ringgit Ten Thousand) and was advised of his Right of Appeal (6.55 pm).

RACE 5 (R1129) OPEN MAIDEN – 1200M (WEIGHT-FOR-AGE)
USA CAPTAIN, a course scratching as it had sustained a near fore sole bruise, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
I AM KHAN and UNLIMITED STAR which were down 16kgs and 18kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were both passed fit to start.
The Stewards permitted App R Nuqman to replace Jockey SU Lim as the rider of JAMES BOND as there was no suitable jockey available.
MR PABNO (AK Lim) was slow into stride.
Shortly after the start, UNLIMITED STAR (KC Tham) was inconvenienced and was bumped by GOLD SKY TRILLION (App A Saran) which rolled outwards.
At approximately the 1000M-mark, GOLD SKY TRILLION became crowded and had to check when UNLIMITED STAR which was hanging in, shifted in despite Jockey KC Tham’s attempt to keep straight.

App SN Shiva, the rider of SILVER SIXTYSIX and Jockey S Salee, the rider of SKY DRAGON reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SILVER SIXTYSIX revealed no obvious abnormality. SKY DRAGON returned lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that UNLIMITED STAR returned having cast its near hind plate. The state of track was upgraded to “Soft” after the running of this race.

RACE 6 (R 1130) CLASS 4(A) - 1200M
The Stewards permitted App SN Shiva to replace Jockey SU Lim as the rider of KANTE as there was no suitable jockey available.
Shortly after the start, GOLDEN KING (AK Lim) and PENTAGON (R Rueven) came together and bumped.
App R Nuqman and Jockeys AM Aizat and R Rueven, the respective riders of DIRECTOR, D’GREAT BOSS and PENTAGON, all reported that their mounts were not riding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of the 3 geldings revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 7 (R1131) CLASS 4(B) – 1200M
STAR INVINCIBLE, which was down 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
The Stewards permitted App Z Syafifie to replace Jockey F Yap as the rider of MAGNOLIA BLVD, and App R Nuqman to replace Jockey SU Lim as the rider of STAR INVINCIBLE as there were no suitable jockeys available.
OUD WOOD (KC Tham) was slow into stride.
MAGIC CITY (App A Saran) shifted in from the whip in the straight.
At approximately the 600M-mark, HAZARD (AK Lim) was inconvenienced when STAR INVINCIBLE rolled inwards.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that VAIN TYCOON (S Salee) and PERFECT MISSION (SS Vanan) returned having cast their respective off fore plate.
A post-race veterinary examination of HAZARD revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 8 (R1132) CLASS 4(A) – 1700M
The Stewards permitted App R Nuqman to replace Jockey SU Lim as the rider of BLEU MARINE as there was no suitable jockey available.
TOUCH THE CLOUDS (S Salee) was slow into stride.
Jockeys AK Lim and R Rueven, the rider of AIR BOSS and JET BLACK respectively, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of AIR BOSS and JET BLACK revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that BILLION SENSE (App Z Syafifie) bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
