(SU Lim) Slow into stride and raced wide in the early stages. Vet inspection: Fractured upper incisor & bleeding.

SEVENLUCK
(App WW Cheah) Prior to the start being effected, the gelding which was unruly in the stalls, got its jaw momentarily stuck in the corner between the gate and the upright. After being extricated by the Starter, the start was effected.
Subsequently, was slow to begin and as a result, raced in an uncustomary rearward position, then raced fiercely when being restrained off runners until near the 600M. Vet inspection: Minor graze on the muzzle.
9 COSMIC SANDS
(S Salee) The saddle slipped forward passing the 800M, placing rider at a considerable disadvantage in riding his mount out. Tightened for room near the 150M.

An objection was lodged by Jockey MM Firdaus (GENERAL NIX), placed fourth, against App M Ekdihar (BIG BAD MAMA), placed third, alleging interference inside the final 250M. The Panel of Stewards upheld the objection and amended the placing to:

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App M Ekdihar, the rider of BIG BAD MAMA, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, SY Lim, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that, he permitted his horse to drift out in the straight, causing GENERAL NIX to check near the 125M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App M Ekdihar’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 12 September 2022 and to expire on 18 September 2022, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
