RACE 1 (R934) CLASS 5(A) – 1400m (lc) PROCYON HANDICAP
AYAAN and FOREVER AND EVER both are course scratching. AYAAN had sustained a bruised off fore sole, while FOREVER AND EVER had sustained stoned bruised near fore foot. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
FARDUS (How Yang) which fractious and reared up badly, injuring itself whilst being saddled at the parade ring, was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 2.08pm. FARDUS will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again. Jockey How Yang was examined by the Club Medical Officer and was medically stood down for the day.
At approximately the 200M-mark, IAMBUTTER (App A Azizi) became crowded and had to check, as a result of LUCKY TIGER (SU Lim) shifting out and PURPLE RAIN LADY (App S Hafis) shifting in. App S Hafis, the rider of PURPLE RAIN LADY and Jockey SU Lim, the rider of LUCKY TIGER were shown the video of the incident and they were both warned to exercise more care, when shifting ground in future.
Jockey L De Souza, the rider of GOLDEN ROOSTER reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of GOLDEN ROOSTER revealed that the gelding had returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of ALWAYS D’GREAT (App R Nuqman) revealed that the gelding had returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again. RULE THE WORLD (HS Gill) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 2 (R935) CLASS 4 (A) – 1400m (lc) SIVIUS HANDICAP
MULTIBLUE SHARK, a course scratching as it had sore back, will required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency acceptors STAR GENIUS and LAGO DE COMO were withdrawn due to a capacity field.
As there was no suitable rider available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App A Saran to replace Jockey How Yang as the rider of FA FA STAR.
Acting on a report from the Club Veterinary Surgeon that PENTAGON (KC Tham) had subsequently sustained lacerations on its near fore heel bulbs in the saddling area, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 2.31pm. PENTAGON will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
SHYAM SINGHA ROY reared badly as the start was effected, dislodging Jockey F Yap. SHYAM SINGHA ROY will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
CHINO DINERO (SU Lim) stumbled on jumping.
Shortly after the start, PLACE YOUR BET (App SN Shiva) had to steady when crowded between FA FA STAR (App A Saran) and MAGNOLIA BLVD (App A Azizi).
BRISTOL DIAMOND (HS Gill) entered the home straight wide.
Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of SILENT BOSS dropped his whip at approximately the 250M-mark.
Jockey HS Gill, the rider of BRISTOL DIAMOND reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of BRISTOL DIAMOND revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of GALILEO’S APPROACH (App S Hafis) revealed no obvious abnormality.
Trainer S Cook was questioned with regards to the improved performance of SILENT BOSS (AM Aizat) today. He was of the opinion that this horse was better-suited to the 1400M-race, coupled with racing on its home track. His attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding 'in-and-out' running.

RACE 3 (R936) CLASS 4 (B) – 1400m (lc) CANOPUS HANDICAP
BELLA VELOCE and FLAGSHIP, both are course scratching. BELLA VELOCE had infected wound near heel, while FLAGSHIP had sustained a bruised off knee. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
QADIRA MEDINA (F Yap) which lost its off hind plate whilst on its way to the start, was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 3.14pm, when the Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that the mare was too fractious to be re-shod.
BLACK AND WHITE (App R Nuqman) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
PREMIUM RUSH (L De Souza) and TRIPLE ONE STAR (KC Tham) were slow into stride.
BARBARIAN (AK Lim) entered the home straight wide, carrying PREMIUM RUSH wide.

ONE FOR ALL, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore cannon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
PROVOCATEUR (SU Lim) stumbled on jumping.
RAINBOW FISH (L De Souza) was inconvenienced at the start when SOLID BRISK (App S Hafis) jumped awkwardly outwards.
SUPER SIXTYONE (AM Aizat) and WINNER NUMBER ONE (App SN Shiva) came together at approximately the 150M-mark.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that ATLANTIC ARROW (App WW Cheah) had bled and as such, the gelding will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of SOLID BRISK revealed that the gelding was galloped upon, suffered complete severance of SDFT and was lame near hind. SOLID BRISK was subsequently humanely euthanized.

LOYALTY’S ANGEL, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised both fore fetlocks, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Acting on a report from the Club Veterinary Surgeon that SPEEDY SWALLOW (App S Hafis) which reared up badly and fell on its back in the saddling area and sustained a cut to its right hock, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 4.29pm. SPEEDY SWALLOW will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
At approximately the 250M-mark, App SN Shiva, the rider of SUNTZU dropped his whip and he was fined the sum of RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a).
App R Nuqman, the rider of HERO CHAMPION reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of HERO CHAMPION revealed no obvious abnormality and the gelding which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SATELLITE GENIUS (HS Gill) returned having cast its near hind plate.

HAPPY LUCKY STAR and MAPLE RISING both are course scratching. HAPPY LUCKY STAR had sustained multiple cuts on its off hind pastern and hock, while MAPLE RISING had sustained a stone bruised off fore. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
As there was no suitable rider available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App WW Cheah to replace Jockey How Yang as the rider of BULLSEYE.
ISLE OF SKY (AK Lim) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

Trainer HY Cheng was questioned with regards to the improved performance of BULLSEYE (App WW Cheah) today. He was unable to offer any explanations and in fact, the run had surprised him. His attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding 'in-and-out' running.
A post-race veterinary examination of GOLD KIDS revealed that the horse returned lame off hind and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
