App R Nuqman, the rider of MR DAVID, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of MR DAVID revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 2 (R145) CLASS 5(A) – 1400M
MR DREYFUSS, a course scratching as it was knocked off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Trainer CC Ooi was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for wrongly declaring App I Firdzriel instead of Jockey Y Aify as the rider of TWILL GUY. The Stewards permitted Jockey Y Aify to ride TWILL GUY.
BIG POWER (App R Nuqman) jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start, ducked in abruptly, inconveniencing ROCK ME EASY (M Yusri) and TWILL GUY.
Passing the 1000M-mark, TWILL GUY brushed the running rail.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that TWILL GUY returned having cast its off fore plate.
Jockey S Saddam, the rider of TILSWORTH SYDNEY, was shown the video of his ride in the straight and was cautioned with regards to his whip use.

NEW YEAR TROPHY (SW)
(ONLY APPRENTICE ALLOWANCE PERMITTED)
KIWI KID, a course scratching as it had a cut to its near hind fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
ECLIPSE SPLASH (J De Souza) was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 4.28pm when it was unable to be loaded. ECLIPSE SPLASH will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
Shortly after the start, NOVA STRIKE (App R Nuqman) was inconvenienced as a result of SACRED GURU (R Rueven) shifting in.
At approximately the 900M-mark, SACRED TONIC (CK Khaw), LIM’S DASHING (AM Aizat) and MOONGATE LIGHT (L De Souza) suffered varying degrees of interference when RELAU STAR (S Saddam) shifted inwards. At a subsequent inquiry, Jockey S Saddam pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) and was suspended for two (2) race days with effect from Monday, 31st January 2022 and to expire on Saturday, 19th February 2022, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (5.15pm).
A post-race veterinary examination of NOVA STRIKE revealed no obvious abnormality.
App S Hafis, the rider of SUPER WINNER was warned that he must listen to the Club Official Starter and abide by his instructions, failing which action may be taken against him.

STARDICE (S Salee) jumped awkwardly outwards, inconveniencing ROCK ARTIST (App A Najib) and CHIPS (J De Souza).
At about the 800M-mark, CITY KNIGHT (CC Foo) clipped the heels of SUNTZU (S Saddam) and stumbled.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that CASTLE CHOICE (App A Nazir) bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination on PROVOCATEUR (App I Firdzriel) revealed no obvious abnormality.
PROVOCATEUR and OVERLORD (App S Hafis) which raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Trainer S Deva Raj was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to remove the use of cross nose band on CODIGOS (R Rueven) within the stipulated time. He was further fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on CODIGOS.
