RACE 1 (R1448) CLASS 5(A) – 1100m(str) BALLISTIC 2000 HANDICAP
CLASSIC KING (App S Rosmizan) jumped away awkwardly.
HIGHLAND FALCON (J De Souza) and GHOST SPIRIT (S Anandan) bucked on jumping away.
POWER EXPRESS (App SN Shiva) had to be steadied racing to the 400M, when SUNTZU (Z Khairil) shifted out for clear running. Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of SUNTZU was shown the vision of this incident and advised to exercise greater care under similar circumstances in future. He was also warned for dropping his whip at about the 300M.
Jockeys J Chuah and R Rueven, the riders of STAR CHOICE and DON’T FORGET THIS respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of STAR CHOICE and DON’T FORGET THIS revealed no obvious abnormality.
App S Saddam, the rider of LOYALTY’S ANGEL reported that his mount could not handle the going today.
Post-race veterinary examinations of HIGHLAND FALCON and GOLDEN ROOSTER revealed no obvious abnormality. GOLDEN ROOSTER was impounded.
The Panel of Stewards questioned Jockey HS Gill, the rider of GOLDEN ROOSTER into that gelding’s poor performance today. He stated that he did not think GOLDEN ROOSTER was suited by the straight course and the soft going today. His explanations were noted. Trainer PK Leong, the trainer of GOLDEN ROOSTER stated that in his opinion, the gelding could not handle the going today.

The Panel of Stewards also questioned Trainer F Maynard, the trainer of SUNTZU as to the gelding’s improved performance today. He explained that SUNTZU had suffered interference at its previous start and he felt that the gelding is better-suited on a straight course and expected to run a good race. His explanations were noted.

RACE 2 (R1449) CLASS 5(B) – 1600m(lc) FREE SPIRIT 2007 HANDICAP
MESSI, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised left hock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
GRAND SHOW (Z Khairil) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and passed fit to start.
SATELLITE TURBO (Y Aify) was slow to begin.
NAPOLEON (App S Rosmizan) was slow into stride.
TOP TURF (S Muniandy) hung in throughout the race and passing the 300M, RELIC WARRIOR (C Goon) had to be checked when TOP TURF shifted in away from the whip.
Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of GRAND SHOW reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of GRAND SHOW revealed that the gelding returned having cast its off fore plate.
Post-race veterinary examinations of GLORY AGE (HK Cheng), BALBOA (HS Gill) and NAPOLEON revealed no obvious abnormality.

SOON YOU THINK (HS Gill) jumped away awkwardly and as a result, was slow to begin.
READY TO SMILE (App L De Souza) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
PURPLE RAIN LADY (Z Khairil) and LEON (S Muniandy) bumped on jumping away.
SECOND CHANCE (App S Saddam) jumped away awkwardly and shortly thereafter, had to check to avoid the heels of WEATHER MAN (J De Souza) and as a result, App S Saddam became unbalanced for a short distance.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that READY TO SMILE bled and as such, the mare will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder's test before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of SOON YOU THINK and SECOND CHANCE revealed no obvious abnormality.

L’APPRENTI SORCIER, a course scratching as it had sustained multiple small cuts, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
As there is no suitable senior rider available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App CK Khaw to replace Jockey KC Wong as the rider of SACRED EMPIRE.
Heavy rain fell prior to and during the running of this race and the state of track was down-graded to ‘Heavy.’
HUSSONATOR (App L De Souza) and ARIF (App S Rosmizan) jumped away awkwardly.
TIME ODYSSEY (S Salee) and EL TORDILLO (S Anandan) which both raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of D’GREAT TIMING (J Low), HUSSONATOR and TILSWORTH JACOBI (R Rueven) revealed no obvious abnormality.
All riders returned an average of 1kg over.
Following the running of this race, a delegation of Riders and Trainers approached the Panel of Stewards with respect to the safety issue concerning the state of the track. The Panel of Stewards advised all riders that Race 6 is on the 1000M short course. All riders of Race 6 agreed to ride.

TURF AUTHORITIES OF INDIA GOODWILL TROPHY
The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey HK Cheng to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of ODE TO JOY when the latter was medically unwell and was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.
CELERITAS (B Pinheiro) and OK KID (R Shafiq) jumped away awkwardly.
LIM’S CASINO (SU Lim) raced keenly in the early stages of the race.
RELAU STAR (App S Saddam) shifted in under pressure approaching the 200M and had to be steadied to avoid the heels of LIM’S CASINO and then, shifted out to obtain a clear running.
Following the running of Race 6, the Panel of Stewards heard representations from a delegation of riders in respect to the racing conditions. After consideration, the Panel of Stewards abandoned the remainder of the races.
