Understanding Betting
If you are new to horse racing, this basic guide to betting should help answer some of the questions you might have.

The following explanations on the type of bets would help you with the basic understanding of betting.

Select only ONE horse
WIN
Select one horse to finish first.

Each unit of bet cost: RM5.00
Minimum dividend (payment): RM6.00

PLACE
Select one horse to finish first, second, or third where the total number of runners is seven or more. Where the number of runners is four, five or six, select a horse to finish first or second.

Each unit of bet cost: RM5.00
Minimum dividend (payment): RM6.00

Select TWO horses
FORECAST 2/ QUINELLA (QIN)
Select two horses to finish first and second in any order where there are seven runners or more.

Each unit of bet cost: RM2.00
Minimum dividend (payment):  RM3.00

EXACTA (EXA)
Select two horses to finish first and second in the correct order where there are four to six runners.

Each unit of bet cost: RM2.00
Minimum dividend (payment):  RM3.00

QUINELLA PLACE SPECIAL (QPS)
Select two horses to finish in the first three positions where there are 10 runners or more.

Each unit of bet cost: RM2.00
Minimum dividend (payment): RM3.00

Select THREE horses
FORECAST 3 / TRIFECTA (TRI)
Select three horses to finish first, second and third in the correct order.

Each unit of bet cost: RM2.00
Minimum dividend (payment): RM3.00

Select FOUR horses
FORECAST 4 / QUARTET (FC4)
Select four horses to finish first, second, third and fourth in the correct order.

Each unit of bet cost: RM2.00
Minimum dividend (payment):  RM3.00
