Melbourne Racing Club Stakes

Formerly known as the VATC Caulfield Stakes, this race was established in 1992 following a reciprocal arrangement between the Selangor Turf Club and the Victoria Amateur Turf Club (VATC). In 2002, the VATC renamed their Club the Melbourne Racing Club. A reciprocal race called the Selangor Turf Club Handicap is run annually at the Caulfield Racecourse.
