Race Caller Selections KL December 2 - Anthony Manton

29 Nov 2012

Race 1. 5-4-15-13

New York City (5) well bred 3 year old by Haradasun working up to a win and looks close after last start fast finishing 2nd 1400m Nov 3. From barrier (3) for CF Chan gets chance to break through.

Yargu (4) will appreciate getting back to class 5 company after being close-up at class 4 level recently. Great record this class, distance and track. Poorly drawn but can overcome that.

La Nieves (15) will also appreciate getting to class 5 level and if can gain an easy lead from awkward barrier (12) with the rail out could prove hard to catch.

Aussie Invader (13) has been in very good recent form and from barrier (1) can again be in the finish. Adaptable in all conditions.

Race 2. 1-3-6-11

Brilliant Tycoon (1) Improved run last start when close-up 4thfirst-up. Should improve further second-up and gain a god run on the speed. Not a strong race and is a winning chance.

Hill Of Fortune (3) hasn’t been far away in these types of races recently and can be given a chance in this. Only win was over this track and distance.

Shimbashi (6) has had genuine excuses his last three starts. With a better draw here (4) for Gary Hind and with the rail out could lead and breakthrough for overdue win.

True Friendship (11) finished strongly over the 1200m last start. Good light weight chance.

Race 3. 5-12-2-7

Only One Will Win (5) led them up and kicked in the straight before being run down over the mile last start. Gets the claim now and is ready for the 1800m. Hard to beat.

Border Express (12) flew home over the 1400m last start for fast finishing 2nd Nov 3. Should relish the 1800m.

Spin Citi (2) very consistent and close-up in these type of races recently and must be considered again. Shankar gets back on a positive.

A Perfectionist (7) still a maiden but getting closer to a win after placing’s last two. Should be running on.

Race 4. 5-1-9-6

New Power (5) KL track specialist in very good form with a win and close 2nd at last two here. Drawn well and sure to be in the finish again. Wants it no worse than yielding.

Camouflage (1) will appreciate getting back to class 3 second-up after only beaten 2 ¾ lengths behind Humble Prince at class 1&2 first-up. Has to lug the top weight and drawn wide, but good enough to do it.

Lucky Amore (9) former HK galloper first-up for nearly two years.  Showed good ability in HK and competed at strong class 3 level over there but apparently did have some issues. Ran 2nd Nov 6 KL trial behind Warn You Man who has since won at Ipoh recently. Could blow them away. Scared stiff of him.

Sagar’s Best (6) expect improvement getting back to the 1200m and good barrier (5) where he holds a great record at this trip and class.

Race 5. 1-4-6-10

Happy Amigo (1) bolted in when leading all the way and winning by big space this class 1400m last start. Up in weight slightly now but from barrier (1) with rail out expected to lead again and take beating.

Laser Guided (4) slaughtered by the apprentice rider when first-up in a maiden recently. Has since trialed very well and with Saimee taking over will measure up at this level and better. Poorly drawn however. Had he drawn inside would have had him on top.

Tatik (6) ran a cracker two starts back over this track and distance behind the smart Novak and had excuses last start. Can mix it with the favorites from good barrier (5) and senior rider taking over.

Super Cop (10) will get back and run on. Watch for him late.

Race 6. 5-7-3-6

Humble Prince (5) won convincingly first-up over this track and distance and from barrier (1) with rail out should put himself in the right spot to do the job again. The wetter the better – loves it!

Colin The Firth (7) star 3 year old last season beaten by the 1400m two starts back and last time against own age the very wet track didn’t help with 57kg to lug. Better off at the weights here. Sure to have support to return to the winners circle.

Happy Everybody (3) ran very well first-up behind Humble Prince and should again be in the finish second-up.

Abeyant (6) very good fresh and is a short course specialist. Could easily knock them off.

Race 7. 5-8-1-2

Admiral Delight (5) beaten by two smarties at both runs back from a spell, last start pushing Novak all the way. Gets chance to breakthrough here. Great record this track and distance.

Viva Amour (8) always close-up in this class of race and with 4kg claim for MM Firdaus and good barrier (2) picks himself as a good chance here.

You Never Know (1) well supported last start for close-up 3rd Nov 11 1400m. Creeping up in weight now but sure to be there.

Sinseven (2) expect improvement back to class 4 and 1200m from inside barrier (1).

Race 8. 2-1-8-10

Higgs Boson (2) impressive winner two back over the 1400m and finished strongly over the 1800m last time. Mile suits and looks hard to beat.

Fox Ovation (1) bookies dream horse, beaten short price favorite two of his last three. Has a bad habit of getting too far back. Change of rider with 4kg claimer Fakruddin now on. Good enough to beat this lot but where is he going to be in the run?

Cassandra Shadow (8) has run on well her last two over the 1400m and looks ready to tackle the mile now.

Weowna Gin (10) very impressive winning at class 5 level last start by a big space. Can measure up here.

Race 9. 12-4-8-2

Tubay (12) prepared to forget last run when found the mile too far. Back to 1400m and from barrier (3) for Saimee can win what is an ordinary race to finish.

Black Coffee (4) had the race run to suit last start when breaking his maiden. May not get ths same hot speed up front but 1400m appears as though it will suit.

Flaming Bolt (8) close-up over the mile last start and loves a wet track which it what it might be come the last race.

Matts Forte (2) will appreciate class 5 level, but probably better suited at 1200m. Still from barrier (1) with the claim can go close.

Best Bet Race 5 No 1 Happy Amigo
